Doherty tried to kill a kitten with spade
    Toronto Telegraph

    (IANS)

Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty says he came to his senses and decided to get rid of his drug habit after he tried to kill one of his kittens with a spade.

Thesun.co.uk reports Doherty saying: 'I got a shovel and was going to kill one of the cats. That was when I was, like, you know, 'I'm a bit of a mess'. It was a bit of a crazy time.'
Doherty has just been released from jail and is planning to celebrate his belated 29th birthday soon.
He added: 'I can't remember the last one at all. And now I'm clean I want one that I can remember. I would like it to have fancy dress and everything. A real party.'
