Coney says NZ all right at Cricket World Cup

Jeremy Coney says NZ all right at Cricket World Cup despite West Indies construction delays, because Black Caps based in St Lucia

    31 May 2006
Some good news for the Black Caps ahead of next year's Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.

Concerns are growing over the state of readiness in the Caribbean, with construction projects meandering along well behind schedule.

Former New Zealand captain Jeremy Coney is currently in the West Indies getting a first hand look at the chaos.

He says things do not look too good, although the Black Caps should be okay, because New Zealand is based in St Lucia and the stadium and facilities there are fine.

Jeremy Coney says the delays are going to leave very little time for some grounds to properly prepare their wickets for the tournament.
